Return Troubleshooting
Internet Explorer

I'm sorry you are having a problem downloading. Internet Explorer seems to have added some excessive security without making it easy or clear how to allow legitimate web sites to turn off the extra security.

If immediately upon clicking a download button for a pattern, you receive a message box that says (except for the pattern name):

with a yellow bar near the top of the screen (just above the pink area and below the gray area, that has this message in it:

Yellow Bar

The problem is that you can't click on the yellow bar until you click the OK button, and then you get another message box that says:

Close Tab

Click No and the message box will close, but the yellow bar has already gone away.
Click Yes and the page closes, so no yellow bar.
You can't get to the yellow bar nohow!

Here's how to fix it:

  1. Shutdown and restart Internet Explorer.

  2. Click the Tools menu and select Internet Options... at the bottom.

    IE Tools Internet Options

This should open the Internet Options dialog box.

    Internet Options General Tab

  3. Click the Security tab.

    Internet Options Security Tab

  4. Click the Trusted Sites green check mark.

    Trusted Sites

  5. Click the Sites button.

    Trusted Sites

  6. Uncheck the checkbox near the bottom that says: Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone

  7. In the text box to the left of the Add button, type: "http://mimidolls.com" (If you do this while the Mimidolls.com home page is displayed, the text box will be already filled in and you don't have to type it.)

    Trusted Sites

  8. Click the Add button. "http://mimidolls.com" will be added to the list of sites in the large text box. (Note: if you go back later after the dialog box is closed to look at this, it will show: "http://*.mimidolls.com". This is okay.)

    Trusted Sites

  9. Check the checkbox near the bottom that says: Require server validation (https:) for all sites in this zone. (Put it back the way it was.)

    Trusted Sites

  10. Click Close.

    Trusted Sites

  11. Click OK.

  12. Try the download again.

If this does not solve the problem, try the following additional steps:

  1. Go back to the Trusted Sites tab of the Internet Options dialog box by clicking Tools menu, Internet Options..., Security tab, and Trusted Sites (green check).

  2. Click Custom level... A scrolling list displays.

  3. Scroll all the way down to near the bottom where you will see: Allow for websites to prompt for information using scripted windows

  4. Click the "Enable" button just below that.

  5. Click OK to close the list.

  6. Click Yes to confirm the change.

  7. Click OK to close the Internet Options dialog box.

  8. Try the download again.

If that doesn't solve the problem, please email and please provide the following information:

  • What operating system are you running? Windows XP?, Windows Vista, Windows 7?
  • What service packs have been applied?
  • What browser are you running? Internet Explorer 7, 8, Firefox 2, 3, Opera 9, 10, Safari 4, Chrome 1? Other?
