This page contains information to help you get the most from Mimi's Dollmaker's Paradise. If you are having problems viewing our site there are some possible answers below:

Full Page Mode

You can get the browser into "Full Page" mode by selecting View > Full Page from the menus, or by pressing the F11 key.

  1. Move the mouse to the top of the page to get the controls back when you need to change tabs.

  2. The menu bar may not be visible in the abbreviated controls of "Full Page" mode. You can always get back by pressing the F11 key, except when it doesn't work.

  3. The F11 key works most of the time. When it doesn't, just select a link and go to another page. Then the F11 key will work again. The problem usually seems to happen immediately after you play a video.

Zoom In & Zoom Out

The zoom in and zoom out mode works differently in different browsers.

  • In some browsers, if you zoom on a page, you stay zoomed when you go to linked pages. This is very convenient if you are going to a new web site the first time and it has consistently sized pages. If there are different size pages, this is inconvenient because you will have to keep changing the zoom.

  • In other browsers, linked pages are not zoomed. You have to zoom each time you go to a new page. Usually, the zoom setting is stored with the page, so that when you go back to that page, it will be the same size as it was the last time. This is very convenient for a site you visit regularly, but inconvenient the first time you go to a new site.

Check your browser's documentation to see if you can change the zoom mode.

Browsers and Testing

Mimi's Dollmaker's Paradise has been designed for use with most popular World Wide Web browsers. It has been tested with the following browsers:

  • Internet Explorer 7/8
  • Firefox 3

In addition, we believe Mimi's Dollmaker's Paradise will also display properly with other modern "tabbed" browsers such as:

  • Opera 9 or later
  • Safari 4 or later (Macintosh)
  • Chrome 1 or later (Google)
  • Firefox 2

Known Problems
  • Colors are Terrible (1)

Almost all computers sold within the last ten years have the capability to display 16 million colors. Unfortunately, many of these computers were shipped with only 256 colors enabled. Mimi's Dollmaker's Paradise looks better when displayed with more colors. To solve this problem, refer to the documentation that came with your computer and change the display setting to hi-color, RGB color, or true color.

  • Colors are Terrible (2)

If you are viewing the site on a Macintosh, your monitor's gamma setting is different from the setting used for PCs. There is not much we (or you) can do about this.

  • Format of Site is Distorted

If you are using a really old browser, Mimi's Dollmaker's Paradise will probably appear pretty strange. In this case, we recommend that you obtain a newer browser.
