Course Description

Students will learn the basics for sculpting face mask for a 15- to 18-inch cloth doll in one of the new clays.

Kit Contents—$20 Kit Fee ($50 Value) — payable to instructor in class

Samples of new clays (cellulose and polymer), Mimi's New Clays for Dollmaking (book), orange stick, sanding pads (four grits), foil, plastic wrap, plastic bags for keeping clay dry and clean, handout. If the student already has the book, kit fee is only $15.

Classroom Supplies (Provided by Mimi)

Sculpting tools, aluminum foil, round tooth picks, handouts, orange sticks, paper cups, paper plates, acetone, alcohol, lemon oil, brushes, acrylic paint, powdered makeup.

Students Bring

Sculpting tools (only if owned, do not purchase for this class), paint brushes (000 or 00 round and 1/4" flat). Container to transport work home. paper and pen for note taking.
