    the techniques are not difficult to learn,
    and the class is fun.


Blossom Bertie Father Christmas Happy Birthday Honey
Course Description

Pattern (sponsor's choice of Blossom, Bertie, Father Christmas, Happy Birthday Honey, or other armatured patterns as they become available) and fabric will be sent each student several weeks prior to class. Students must sew the body, arms, and legs at home before coming to the seminar. In the class, students will learn to stuff smoothly around an armature. The body will be stuffed and closed, and the faces will be stuffed, installed, needle modelled and colored. Many techniques will be taught and demonstrated including wired hands with separate fingers and an opposing thumb.


Kit Contents—$20 Kit Fee ($35 Value) — payable to instructor in class

Pattern book, body fabric (one yard hand-dyed quality muslin), armature, hand armatures, hair material, 3-1/2" and 5" Piecemakers doll needles, John James #9 long darning needle, Dream-Seamer, other items vary by pattern selected.


Classroom Supplies (Provided by Mimi)

Textile medium, paint, brushes, colored pencils, hemostats, stuffing tools, wire cutters, pliers, thread, needles, drapery thread, Airtex Premium stuffing material.


Students Bring

Sewn body, arms, legs, face, hemostats (5-1/2" and 8" straight), stuffing tool, regular hand sewing needle, Swiss Metrosene 100% polyester thread, notebook and pencils. For Happy Birthday Honey, bring sewing machine first day only.
